Abdominoplasty, also known as a “tummy tuck,” flattens and contours the abdomen and waist. The number of tummy tucks performed in the United States has increased dramatically in the last 20 years.
So I had a HUGE weight loss and I saw Dr. Liu for a tummy tuck consult to remove all the excess skin that was never going to go away and I can absolutely say that it was the best decision I have made. I have been "interviewing" people to do this for about a year and it wasn't until I met Jerome and his staff that absolutely sold me that it was the right decision...Lastly, the results. I am officially 4 weeks post op and HOLY HELL I have the cutest belly button that I have ever seen and my stomach looks incredible. I have a scar from hip to hip(I had LOTS of extra skin removed) but I can already tell that its healing really nicely and that makes me happy. I would absolutely 100% recommend him and his team.
I would highly recommend Dr Tom Liu. He was an amazing dr to have gone through a tummy tuck with . It is a scary and emotional journey but he made me feel so confident in him that I didn't lose a wink of sleep the night before surgery . His bed side manner is great and he truly makes you feel like he cares about you . I traveled 2 hours to see him and it was completely worth it . My results are so great and my recovery was also great and I know that was all due to his surgical ability . If and when I have anything else done I will definitely be making the drive to have him do it . Dr Liu and his drainless tummy tuck are the way to go!

Is a Tummy Tuck Right for Me?
If you’re bothered by any of the concerns listed above and would like to have a flatter or slimmer abdomen, a tummy tuck can be very transformative. The procedure is usually most successful for women and men who are:
- At a stable weight
- Non-smokers
- Healthy enough to undergo surgery and recovery
- Able to maintain realistic expectations for the potential results
By perusing our tummy tuck before-and-after photos, you can gain an idea of whether the results in our patient gallery align with what you hope to achieve for the outcome. If your desires are consistent with the results depicted, you may benefit greatly from a tummy tuck. A consultation with a plastic surgeon is always necessary to confirm your candidacy for a tummy tuck, as well as to learn about alternative or complementary treatment options that may help you reach your cosmetic goals.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), there were approximately 160,000 tummy tucks performed in 2020 compared to 60,000 operations in 2000. A tummy tuck can be performed by itself or combined with other procedures as part of a “Mommy Makeover.” Common procedures combined with abdominoplasty include breast augmentation, breast lift, and liposuction.
